Overview

Founded in 2004, Better ATM^TM Services, Inc. supplies patented technology that enables an ATM to dispense Gift Cards and other prepaid media like currency.  Enabled ATMs dispense the prepaid cards via the ATM’s cash tray using the machine’s existing dispensing mechanisms.  Better ATM^TM Services licenses its technology to both ATM and prepaid card industry participants to provide a more secure, convenient and profitable distribution option with additional revenue opportunities.  Its patented technology ensures continued operation within existing industry infrastructures and pricing models.

Technology

Better ATM^TM Services has developed a solution for an industry conundrum and a significant challenge for the retail industry.  Thanks to its revolutionary technology, the biggest untapped, trusted distribution channel widely embraced by consumers can now be used to dispense Gift Cards and other prepaid media.  Better ATM^TM Services’ patented technology enables ATMs to distribute Gift Cards and other prepaid media directly from the cash tray without expensive upgrades, sidecars or other equipment.

ATMs are configured and licensed to dispense one or more card sheets.  Each sheet is comprised of three panels.  The card sheet is approximately the same size as international currencies, such as the Danish Kroner.  Better ATM^TM Services has certified ATM manufacturers Wincor Nixdorf, Nautilus Hyosung, Diebold and Triton Systems, as well as processors Advanced Network Inc., Columbus Data Services and Elan Financial Services, to offer its technology on their hardware and networks. 

The certification process ensures that adding Better ATM^TM Services’ products to the ATM will not void the ATM’s existing warranty and ensures that Better ATM^TM Services’ products function properly in those vendors’ ATMs.  After certification, Better ATM^TM Services becomes a sales ally, recommending those companies for services.

Snap Apart Card Design

In working with ATM manufacturers, Better ATM^TM Services has designed a Card Sheet that is dispensed through an ATM with no modifications to the dispenser.  Several three panel and two panel options were identified.  The “Snap Apart” card design provides flexibility for the Gift Card or prepaid media offerings.  One panel is reserved for the main Gift Card or prepaid media (e.g. transit pass) offering.  The remaining panels are then available for advertising, promotional, or incentive offerings…the options are limitless.  Below are several examples of actual and mock Gift Card or prepaid media offerings.
